Etsy Reviews

I believe this depends on each seller. Etsy is simply a platform for sellers, and often does not have any direct involvement with orders short of processing the payment. Certain items cannot be returned for safety and hygiene reasons, and sellers can refuse to do anything other than exchange. Contacting Etsy may or may not change the results.

I hate Etsy! I am falling in debt because I quit my day job to be a full time seller! They shut my site down multiple tries, and has banned me forever! I am a single mom with no back up or resourse for income. They shut me down becuase an account that was somehow linked to mine broke the policy of items not being handmade! Not fair and this came with no warning. I emailed Etsy several times. No answer. I HATE THEM AND I HOPE THEY DIE!

I didn't have any luck with etsy! The quality of the shirt was fantastic! The size was a real joke!

I have bought a number of items through Etsy and with great success. I had only one negative experience and Etsy took are of that. I recommend Etsy wholeheartedly.

I am no sure why this would be the case. I have only paid through paypal and have never been asked personal financial information beyond paypal. It is odd that you have experienced this issue. What personal financial information have you been asked to divulge?

If you do, I would be cautious about ordering from international sellers, use a credit card in case you need to contest the charges, and do NOT expect ETSY do a thing if you get ripped off. They are useless and could care less once the sale is final.

I love Etsy! I recvd. Items on time. Items were as shown I will reorder again from Etsy. One Item came from Australia. So it took a bit longer... I am satisfied with company.

Hi Sharmilla, What a fantastic name! I have ordered from the same shop in What three times, and found the seller ( who is in the US) extremely reliable and prompt in sending my parcel. I think it all depends on the seller, since these are individual shops in the site. I hope that helps.

I am a seller and i can tell you you should not only look from the amount of how many sales they make as so many of sellers using expensive marketing to boost their sales number, if it shows like more than 500-1000 but they just opened it last year it most likely are fake. If the item too cheap to be true, they are not handmade or they bought it somewhere and sell it on Etsy. It's happened to me that sellers from eastern europe and russia stolen my picture and design and sell it on etsy. Just buy local.

Etsy removes negative comments and also removes the ability to leave a review many times when there has been a dispute. I've experienced it 2x.

If you want to wait go ahead but you need to know that etsys policies state that there is a time limit on filing a complaint and after that time period of you have not received your item or requested assistance from headquarters, you are out of luck and your money.

Most sellers on Etsy are good people and sometimes there are things that happen beyond their control. If you are worried about the shirt and would like to order it elsewhere than ask for a refund and cancellation on the order.

Don't buy a seller's story (tall tales). File a case with Etsy for the Item Never Received. You'll get your money back, and this will be a good lesson for the seller to be more responsible.
